It was not the first time Alderman David Peters expressed his opinion that attorney and engineering fees were excessive, but it was the last time in regards to the 2009-2010 budget.

When the present council adopted the 2009-2010 budget last year, $4,000 was budgeted for Contractual Legal General fees. In the month of June 2010 alone, the city wrote checks for over $4,600 in attorney fees.
