Polo youth injured in Chariton County accident

On Sunday, July 25, 2010, the Missouri Highway Patrol investigated an accident that took place on Lake Drive, south of Route D, 12 miles southeast of Marceline, MO at approximately 12:20 a.m.
According to their report, Gerald R. Hatfield, 42, Polo, MO, was southbound in a 2004 Dodge when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
